In case you've sumbled upon this blog
This is where I posted my political activism. I am no longer active with party politics, but I'm keeping this up as a record of my past work.
My name is Robb Zipp and I want to change your life for the better. I'm a 28 year old guy from Houston, Texas who is on the Executive Steering Committee of Democracy for Houston and I am an active member of the Harris County Young Democrats. This blog is a journal of my adventures in politics and what I think you can do to help make a difference.
This is where I posted my political activism. I am no longer active with party politics, but I'm keeping this up as a record of my past work.
I've been laying low since the last election concentrating my time on personal matters. I am still producing the television show Truthmobile LIVE presented by Democracy for Houston and we have two shows coming up:
I'm still alive, folks. I've been very busy, though. Work is kicking my behind and I've been trying to unwind. The next TV show will be this Monday at 7 PM, so check it out! I will try to get some more past shows online soon, but with my schedule being as it is, it might be a few weeks.
I hope you've all had a great Thanksgiving. I'm thankful for the new Democratic Congress who is about to take power!
Things have been crazy around here. Thankfully most of the nation has woken up and kicked those Republican bums out, but Texas hasn't. I will be discussing why on the next episode of Truthmobile Live on Monday the 13th at 8 PM.
This is what I did. I cannot tell you how to vote, but I can tell you how I voted. I have that right.
Tonight I went down to City Hall and heard from many of the people you will see on the Democratic ticket Tuesday (today or tomorrow, depending on when you read this). It was supposed to be outside, but the rain forced us inside and it was an event that I will never, ever forget. The energy in the lobby of City Hall was electric. Now I'm not naive enough to believe that every one of the candidates will win, but I really wish they all could. I really wish the rest of the people of this state could open up their eyes and realize what the true Republican agenda is. I'm forever grateful that I have.
Freedom - better quality
Don't miss the next installment of Truthmobile Live presented by Democracy for Houston with your host Robb Zipp this Friday, November 3rd at 6 PM on Houston MediaSource cable access!
Thank goodness Al Gore invented the internet. Now people all over the world can see the Truthmobile!
Please attend Lights, Camera, Political Action! on Wednesday, November
I interviewed Jim Henley at his campaign headquarters this afternoon and then I went to Lamar High School with him to load up some of his former students on his bus and go to an early voting location. It was the first time any of them had voted and it was really cool to see a group of young people getting involved in the political process. I remember my first time I voted. Things have changed a lot since then, and not for the better...
That's right, folks! The second installment of Truthmobile Live! presented by Democracy for Houston with you host Robb Zipp will air tonight LIVE on Houston MediaSource (Time Warner 17, Kingwood 98, TV Max 95)! I'll have an interview with Judge Bill Moody and video from the David Van Os whistlestop as well as a video telling you the truth about the Republican Party! Don't miss it and make sure to call in! 713-227-1166
Perry Dorrell, aka PDiddie picked me up and we went to KPFT to pick up David Van Os, the next Attorney General of the State of Texas. We went to the Fannin park and ride and met up with Richard Morrison, who took on Tom DeLay in the 2004 elections and got a surprising number of votes. Richard and David talked to every single person who got onto that train and gave them information about the race. I know if I ever run for anything, I'm going to get Richard Morrison to work for me!
