Congratulations to Democratic Primary Run-off winners!

I would like to extend my congratulations to every person who won their respective Democratic Primary Run-Off race yesterday!

Barbara Ann Radnofsky handily defeated 80 year old Gene Kelly from San Antonio to win the party's nomination for US Senate and will take on Kay Baily Hutchinson in November. This is a tough race, but one that can be won if enough people help out in getting BAR's message out, and if enough people realize what a useless Senator KBH has been since she's been in office.

Borris Miles won the Democratic candidacy for Texas State Representative over 26 year veteran Al Edwards. Al Edwards started out as a pioneer for Civil Rights, but ended up being a self indulgent toady for the Republican Party. It was time for change and I hope that Mr. Miles makes that happen. The Republicans were behind Al Edwards re-election, so they didn't bother to put up candidate for that race. There is a Libertarian running, however. That pretty much means Borris Miles will be the new State Rep for District 146.

Maria Luisa Alvarado defeated Ben Z. Grant for a chance to unseat Republican incumbent David Dewhurst.

Ted Ankrum defeated Paul Foreman for the chance to unseat Tom DeLay lackey, and Diebold henchman Michael McCaul in the 10th Congressional District. Libertarian Michael Badnarik also will be on the ballot in the November general election. Badnarik has run for President as the Libertarian candidate in the past.

I have personally met and spoken to all of these candidates, with the exception of MLA. They are all top-notch people and deserve your support and your vote in November. It's time to make a change in this State and in this Country. You CAN make a difference.
